Royal Pistachio · Ancient Energy Blend
Four ingredients. Two thousand years.
RIRZ is the Tunisian spoon-food that fed farmers, new mothers and travellers long before the energy bar existed. Raw pistachios, toasted sesame, pure honey, natural butter — steady energy and a calmer head, from a jar you can read.

Meet the blend
A jar of nut butter that reads like a pantry, not a chemistry set
RIRZ (say reerz) is Tunisia's zrir — a stone-ground blend of nuts, seeds and honey that families have made by hand for over two thousand years.
Ours is the pistachio edition: raw pistachios and toasted whole sesame ground until the oils release, bound with pure honey and a little natural butter until it turns into a thick, finely-milled cream you eat by the spoon. No protein isolate, no gums, no "natural flavour", no refined sugar — the recipe never needed them.
It's rich enough that one tablespoon settles a craving, which is why it travelled: concentrated, real nourishment for a long day. We didn't reinvent it — we sourced it cleanly, ground it in small US batches, and put it in an 8 oz glass jar.

The whole pitch, in two numbers
Your protein bar has forty-seven ingredients. RIRZ has four.

One jar of RIRZ
You can pronounce every one of them. You could go buy them yourself today. That's the entire point — and it's the reason a food this old is still worth eating.
Seven seconds. One jar. No studio tricks — just morning light on glass.
Why people keep the jar on the counter
Real food does the work a stack of supplements pretends to
Pistachios, sesame, honey and butter have been eaten together across the Mediterranean for two millennia — because a spoonful gives your body something to actually run on.
Energy that doesn't spike
Fat, fibre and protein arriving together — the opposite of a sugar hit. The honey sweetens without the crash that follows coffee or a cereal bar.

Built for running-on-empty days
This is the food Tunisians traditionally gave new mothers to rebuild strength. Iron and calcium your body draws down hard, plus steady fuel for broken sleep.
Iron 1.0mg · Calcium 59.5mg per tbsp
A calmer, clearer head
Pistachios are rich in vitamin B6 and sesame in magnesium — nutrients your nervous system uses to regulate mood and focus. Whole-food support, not a mystery capsule.
Naturally rich in B6 & magnesium
Minerals your diet runs low on
Toasted unhulled sesame is one of the oldest mineral-dense foods on earth — we keep the hull on, where the calcium and iron live, instead of stripping it for looks.
Calcium 59.5mg · Iron 1.0mg · Potassium 74.5mg
Absorbs better than a pill
The whole-food fat base helps your body take up the fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K) that a low-fat diet or a dry supplement leaves on the table.
Complete plant protein · all 9 amino acids
Nothing to explain away
No refined sugar, no preservatives, no additives, no emulsifiers, no palm or vegetable oils. Turn the jar around and the back reads like a shopping list.

Transparency, not a tab
Read the back of the jar before you read the front
We put the panel here because it's the strongest thing we have to say. Four ingredients, sweetened only with honey, and a serving size a normal person would actually eat.
Ingredients
Raw pistachios, toasted whole natural unhulled sesame seeds, pure honey, natural butter.
Good to know
The only sugar is 2.4g of added sugars per tablespoon — 100% from raw honey. No refined or cane sugar. Contains tree nuts (pistachio), sesame and milk.
"Just food. The way it should be."
Decoding the name
ZRIRZRIR
Arabic reads right to left. So we turned it around.
The name is mirrored. The recipe isn't.
In Tunisia this blend is called zrir — the food you make for someone who needs their strength back. A new mother. A farmer at harvest. A traveller before a long road.
We mirrored the word for a Western shelf and changed nothing else. Same four ingredients, same stone-ground method, same reason to keep a jar in the kitchen. Two thousand years of Mediterranean practice, in an 8 oz jar.
As a new mom, I was running on fumes. RIRZ has been a lifesaver. It's delicious, easy to eat, and I feel a genuine difference in my day-to-day energy. It helps me tackle the sleepless nights.
★★★★★
It has the authentic taste of homemade zrir. I'm so glad I found this convenient, smooth version. It's the only thing that keeps me going without that inevitable sugar crash.
★★★★★
Tastes like baklava, but without the sugar crash. I usually feel guilty eating rich spreads — knowing this one is packed with good stuff makes it my new indulgence.
★★★★★
I'm a dad, and my energy levels were non-existent. RIRZ is a life saver. I feel more present and energetic for my kids and my partner. A must-have for tired parents.
★★★★★
The subtle pistachio flavor combined with the creaminess is just perfect. It's giving me real energy, and I've been adding it to my oatmeal — it elevates the whole meal.
★★★★★
The energy is exactly what I need to stay focused during long meetings. Delicious — subtly sweet and very nutty. Highly recommend for busy professionals.

Before you buy
The questions we actually get
What does it taste like?
Deeply nutty, gently sweet, and much richer than a supermarket nut butter — buyers compare it to baklava without the sugar crash. The pistachio comes through first, the toasted sesame sits underneath, and the honey rounds the edges. Smooth and finely-ground, closer to halva than to peanut butter.
Is there any added sugar?
Only honey. Each tablespoon has 2.4g of added sugars, and 100% of it is raw honey — no cane sugar, no syrups, no refined sugar of any kind. It's sweetened the way the recipe has been for two thousand years.
Why is it good for new and nursing parents?
Zrir has traditionally been the food given to new mothers in Tunisia to rebuild strength. It's rich in calcium and iron — minerals a nursing body draws down heavily — plus whole-food fats and protein for steady energy through broken sleep. It's a nourishing food, not a medical product; if you're pregnant or nursing, check with your doctor about your own needs.
How long does a jar last?
Sealed in a cool, dry, dark cupboard: roughly 6 to 8 weeks. Refrigerated: up to 6 months. A little natural oil separation is normal — just stir it back in, and always use a clean, dry spoon.
Is it suitable for allergies?
It contains tree nuts (pistachio), sesame and milk. It is not vegan and not nut-free. If you're avoiding any of those three, this isn't the jar for you.
What if I don't like it?
Message us within 30 days and we'll refund you, even if the jar is half gone. We'd rather hear why it wasn't for you than keep your money.
